These songs came about (in what felt like an odd but appropriate time) because of COVID-19. Whiskers and Wires formed remotely as a result of the "shut down" in March of 2020. After major businesses and community places closed their doors, the duo decided to collaborate from their respective homes to record music. Remotely passing music ideas back and forth during social distancing quickly became something enjoyable. It was a necessity while life was otherwise unpredictable amidst the struggles of hunkering down to ride out the storm and await the cure.

While much of this EP was done in 2020, some track adjustments were made in 2021 and 2022 with a release date taking place in early 2023.

This music serves as documentation and as a means to emote. At minimum, it proves that Eric and James were here during this era (despite all of the days troubles and layered complications) and that they made the most of the opportunity to seize the moment and do something creative to express themselves.
